The Time Travellers Wife

Do you think that to be able to travel across time is an awesome power? But what if you couldn't control it?

This is the situation that happens to the man in the movie "The Time Travellers Wife". Well, this movie is already four months old, and I only happened to see it recently.

For your information, it's not really those lame time machine type of story. The male main cast, Eric Bana who starred as Henry De Tamble, is disrupted by some type of genetic impairment which causes him to travel across time out of his control. And the bad thing is, everytime he travels his clothes doesn't, and he has to learn all the basic thievery skills in order to break into others' house to dress himself. This is really unique.

Because of this, he suffers. He has to see the death of his mother over and over again, his wife miscarriage for several times as the foetus also receives the genetic impairment and travels across the time, he has to foresee his death yet unable to do anything, he is unable to stay with his loved ones when they need him and he has to isolate himself as he is just too weird.

But the good thing is, he met with his true love, Clare Abshire (cast by Rachel McAdams). At his older age, he travels back to his wife's childhood to expose himself to her for the first time, which in turn Clare exposed herself to him when he was younger. It's kind of like the egg and chicken question don't you think?

And after gone through so many obstacles, they are still able to born their child Alba, which possesses a better version of chrono-impairment gene. Sometimes their daughter can deny the time travel, which can reduce a lot of pains due to this unwanted disease.

By the way, the way he dies really pissed me off. He is actually killed by his father-in-law during time travel. WTH. T.T

I really like this movie, as the storyline is unique, everything is seemed to be destined and Rachel McAdams has acted out the character so lively. It wets my eyes, but of course no tears dropped. =P

IRIS

She still looks so young and innocent with her age.

The end of the red hot Hong Kong drama "Beyond the Realm of Conscience" aka "Gung Sum Gai" wasn't scheduled at a good time for me as now is the time where I will go through the most free study week in my lifetime with only two subjects to go which another week of break is sandwiched between them! Because of that, I decided to do a massive d_w__o_d to watch the latest Korean drama IRIS due to the influence of papers and friends.

So far only gone through the first episode of it, but really, the beauty of Kim Tae Hee made a perfect opener to grab the attention of drama freaks! Should be an exciting drama as it is about spies and assassins.

Absolute beauty.

Can You Do It?

Even if you play it 24/7, you might still be at a god damn far distance from his standard...

P/S: Please watch carefully for the final 30 seconds...

FIFA 10 Teaser Trailer

FIFA 10 is still yet to be released! And I'm desperately waiting for it.
For those who can't wait, the demo is out. You can find it easily by google. But note that its size is very large for a demo version. A lot of new features again, and hopefully PC version won't be less than PS3/XBox.
Sorry for PES freaks, but I'm on the FIFA side. I always go for better visuals and audios, so FIFA is the best for me, no matter how good is PES gameplays. =P

19

Watched Orphan yesterday and I've to say that, this movie is absolutely nice. It's such a long time since I ever saw a horror movie at its best quality. 5 stars from me. You definitely can't miss it.

There's Something Sicked Inside Esther...

Besides that, I'm also following a HK drama titled “绝代商骄”. Very entertaining and educative in my opinion, although not that realistic. Lol.

P/S: 19 days to go to speak the following lines of words...

Finally Some Morale

Sem 1 is just wasting my time. In fact, due to the whole bunch of revising subjects, I believe even in 7 weeks I can finish the whole sem of study with the same pace as my foundation. Still, happy that now the syllabus is starting to become tougher, something positive to boost my study mood.

I remember that in the comic Slam Dunk, there's a super talent called Sawakita. He played basketball since 3 (or 5?) with his dad and became far too superior compared to others player in Japan. And due to that, he can't concentrate properly for his games. Guess that I'm having that kind of syndrome as well?

Sorry if anyone who read this felt offended.

Some great thing these days:
  1. I solved a tough tutorial question by myself. Hell lot of satisfaction.
  2. I scored 30/30 on my first programming practical.
  3. I got >300 visitors on my bpl-fantasy blog for the first time.
And favorite CG I like:
I like how he entered into the battle. The kind of stylishness I craved for. Sadly unavailable in reality.

Ok, the end of a weird post. Bye.

The Seven Primes

After some procrastination, finally I had watched "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" last Friday. The graphics are so so realistic. Somehow overrealistic. Lol. And it somehow looks like a show of perverted humour. =.=||

Some stupid interesting facts about that movie:

1) Sam Witwicky can read a book of thousand pages within several tens of seconds due to the effect of All Sparks.

2) There is a transformer that can change into human form... =.=

3) There are actually seven Primes, with only Optimus Prime left.

4) The Fallen looked so strong, but yet so so noob.

5) The metal of the transformers somehow seems too strong and shiny to be seen as metal.

If not due to the stupid climax the movie has, I would have rated the show 10/10. It was disappointing not to see a long 1v1 boss battle between Optimus and the Fallen.

Jetfire equipped Optimus Prime. Looks so cool and guess what? He can fly (though looks like Gundam)!

Whereas the movie I watched at home, Angels and Demons, looked much better in terms of plot and was so exciting and mind stimulating. An awesome movie of religionbots vs scienceticons (noob terms lol).

Resonanting Melody

Aerith's Theme: so pure, so sad. The perfect tune that illustrates sadness. I'll remember it for the rest of my life.

The CG movie from the game FF7.

The piano version. Less tragedic but much sorrier.

Some hope is hidden beneath this version.

Night at the Roadside

I have just endured one of the most troublesome yet best night of my life.

This can be complicating, but I'll start from the evening...

5pm. I got into my car for a personal training session, focusing on upsloping traffic jam training. Lol. I went to the slope at Taman Segar which my uncle resides nearby. However, I didn't pay a visit to his family. XD Clutch, brake, release clutch partially, release brake, press the oil simultaneously and release the clutch totally. That was basically what the practice all about. During the midway of the driving session, the car suddenly stopped. The engine couldn't be start and the brake was much stiffer than usuasl. As a newbie, I couldn't identify any problem at all. And since the engine was managed to be started after a minute, hence I was ignorant of it.

The night came right after that. I was waken up by Kah Fai at 11 this morning as he phoned me for a movie at 9.40 pm. I reached there on time, driving a car which I was ignorant of its problems. However I had to buy my mum two packets of nescafe which were much cheaper than usual I think which delayed me for 10 minutes. BUT, they didn't manage to purchase any tickets due to full house. Therefore we bought for the next session which was 11.55 pm. Aww... What's more? We had to send YY's brother back to home as he have to study on the next day.

Right after that we went to Bandar Mahkota to "long gai". We were driving extremely slow, specifically Wai Kit was driving extremely slow which caused me who was tailgating him had to follow his pace. Then... Damn! The car lost its power again and was powered off. Zzz... All of us were amateur drivers, so we had a lot of speculations. We added some motor oil to my car clumsily and it did managed to be started. So we thought that was the problem lol.

After spending so lot of time at there, we drove to Jusco again as the time of showing for the movie "Night at the Museum 2" was around the clock. Kind of suited with the "adventures" today lol. BUT while I was around at CP3, SHIT! The car lost its power again, just like last time. And this time in the middle of the road! Luckily, two burgermen helped me to pushed the car to the road side and helped me to check for the problems. Wai Kit and his passengers came after that and the two "abang burger" helped me to jumpstart my car. After some warmup I left my car there and went for the movie by Wai Kit's car.

Yay! The movie was spectacular. The finest quality of hilariousness. Cool! That luckily cured my worriedness by a little. You shouldn't miss it! Kah-Mun-Rah!!! Here's the trailer:

After the movie, we went back to take a look of my car. Luckily it can be started. Being feared of the car would shutted down again, I drove by purely using gear 1. But after I drove for awhile, it lost its power again! It was so near to my home, and it wouldn't allow me to reach it. Lol. So, we jumpstarted my car again (Wai Kit was escorting me back to home) and drove for the final 200 meters back to my home. Phew~ Finally. I went back home and found it hard to sleep due to so many incidents tonight. Lol.

I took it for a check at the workshop today and the mechanic told me that the problem was due to faulty alternator.

===============================================

You might see that the incident was kind of terrible, but I don't.

Firstly, the car wasn't dead at the evening while I was driving alone. I had got friends to rely on during the problems.

Secondly, there were two guards who gave some assistance during the incident at Bandar Mahkota and two "abang"s who helped during the incident at CP.

Thirdly, I learnt quite a lot on how to handle vehicle problems.

Last but not least, my friends are just so reliable! Thanks guys! Thanks very much! The best friends are always the friends who are willing to help you when you are in difficulties! Lol.

I feel kind of lucky to have this kind of incident as there were so much thing to learn in a less troublesome way. XD

Exclusives:

While at Jusco, Wei Kian bought some breads as he was so hungry at that time. He saw a buy 3 free 1 promotion hence he bought 3 (so in total 4).

YY: Wah Wei Kian, why you bought so much of bread?
Me: He wanted to treat us mah...
YY: Oi Wei Kian, we good friends ma, no need buy bread for us so good la.
WK: (Laughs) Buy 3 got free 1 ma, den I ma buy 4 loh...

Me: This is what I called an idiot consumer. You just wanted to eat 1 bread and you bought 4 just because of the promotion.
Wai Kit: A nice speech man!

All: *Laughs*

Self-Fortification

Guess what? I had watched a lot of movies these days! I am too free and too rich? Nah, only the former applies. I actually watched at home. Lets see my lists of summaries below:

88 Minutes

Hm... A very nice movie. It narrates a people of very special job called forensic phychiatrist who makes logical reformations of crime scenes. He was told to have 88 minutes to live by an anonymous call and thus he used his "remaining" life to save his life. A very intellectual stimulating detective like story. 4.5 stars. XD

City of Ember

The title itself sounds great. A city of fire? Nah. That is not the case. Apparently I heard this movie from radio and found it to be interesting. And after I watched it, still, interesting. A science fiction featuring two teenagers (and also a small little girl) who were lived in a city underground which relied on a generator which only lasted for 200 years to provide light. When the generator almost reached its lifespan, generator breakdown occured frequently and the people were feared. The two main characters managed to find a way to escape but were interrupted by a lot of incidents. So can they escape? Watch yourself! A lot of enjoyable silly events in the movie as well. 4 stars.

Dead or Alive

One word. Sexy. Two words? Absolutely sexy! Lol. A very traditional heroic storyline with girls combating all along. Many strong people in the world were invited to a competition named Dead or Alive. An evil man, who was also the organizer for the match, analyzed their battle moves and created a fighting prediction spectacles to be sold worldwide. Knowing this, the ladies were trying to stop their moves. Not recommended to boys and girls who have high moral values. 5 stars for horny boys. 4.5 stars for the rest. XD

Fast and Furious 4

The topic of the city. Cars, cars and cars. Vroom! 2 guys, a cop and a villain who wanted to take revenge of the dead of a girl due to the big cocaine villain. Cars were flying all the time in the movie. Apparently I felt a little bored as I don't like cars much other than F1. Haha. 5 stars for car freak. 3.5 stars for the others.

I am Legend

The title itself attracted me a lot. I watched it too late ain't I? Will Smith was the main character. The world was stormed with zombies who feared of light due to virus evolution. Will, one of the lucky survivors, who was also a biology professor, owned a lab to study on how to cure the virus. The whole movie was about how he coped with loneliness and how he sacrificed after he found the vaccine. A great movie for me. 5 stars for me. 4 stars for the rest.

Killshot

Quite a lame movie. No suspense. Anything was bad except the main character Mickey Rourke who was so cool. A killer who was supposed to kill a couple hunted down upon them with a lot of twists. Eventually he managed to get them but dead due to their shots. 3 stars.

Pokemon Rise of Darkrai

I got this when I borrowed somebody's hard disk to copy game files. A typical Pokemon movie that describes two legendary pokemon from other dimensions fought and led to destruction of the dimension where Ash existed. While the land was going to be perished, Darkrai was there trying to protect it. So could the world be saved? Grab the movie! Pikachu is just too cute! Haha. 4 stars.

Slumdog Millionaire

What can you critique about the best movie of the year? This movie is absolutely fantastic! A story about a pair of brothers who suffered in their melancholic young age. The younger brother was in love with a girl but for some reason the girl ended up as a chief gangster's wife. Eventually he managed to participate in Who Wants to be a Millionaire and got questions and questions correct all the time with luck. Can he got 20 million rupees and his love? The ending knows. 5 stars definitely!

The Poker Club

A murder story of four friends. A thief broke into the main character's house and got killed by one of his friends during their weekly poker game meeting. Strange things happened afterwards and two of his friends were down. Eventually he found out that all those unwanted happenings was due to his only surviving poker mates who wanted to kill him to get her wife. Will he survive? Hah, the same lines as some movies above. 3.5 stars.

Twilight

Based on the novel of same name, this title gets a lot of attention. It was the story of a girl who fell in love with a vampire. A lot of stories happened then. Romantic is the word. 4.5 stars (because of the female main cast LOL).

Yes Man

A very hilarious movie. A guy in the beginning who always said no to everything attended a "Yes" seminar and his life changed. Luck came whenever he said yes and his love came. But when his girlfriend knew that she said yes because of the silly seminar their relationship was at crisis. Can he save it? Watch Yes Man! 4.5 stars.

Basic Love

A chinese movie starring the red hot Elanne Kwong. Melancholic based but lame storyboard. That's why Hong Kong movie industry is shrinking right? A story of three besties where two of the girl love the other one at the same time. Well the only boy love Elanne. However, Elanne was heavily sick and was going to leave the world soon. Three of them were stuck in the painful triangle relations. Can they solve it? Find it out yourself. Maybe a good movie for YY who is a Elanne freak but not for me. 2.5 stars (honestly I think Janice Man, the other female main cast is prettier than Elanne =P ).

Shinjuku Incident

Hah. This one I watched it from cinema! A pretty sad chinese stowaway story. Jackie Chan who sneaked from China to Japan, due to some luck, became the ruler of one of the street there. However, due to his greedy followers who distribute drugs on the street, he faced a lot of problems and eventually dead. The hand chopping scenes were really nice! And the values were strong as well. A slightly better than average movie. 3.5 stars.

---------------------------------------------------------

Well, I know, I am going to move on to another stage of my life. A big change just like what the tarot said in my previous post. But I am still lack of something. Maturity. I am still a little bit chicken of taking responsibilities directly. I am still lack of the ability to express opinions and feelings directly. Still a little kid living in his own little world. I must change! I must grow! *roars* May the renaissance begins...

Life With Uncertainties

Friday, 17 April 2009.

Hah. The last study day in my foundation studies. My friends and I were planned to skip classes and went to Sunway Pyramid straightaway, but instead of that, we hanged up for one lesson at school before going there as some of us still had some matters to be settled down at UTAR. There were some camwhorings around the campus, let see some of them featuring me: =)

I wonder why I looked so hilarious LOL

YY, Joshin and Me

After completing all those matters, we skipped our class halfway (bad students haha) and went to eat at our "beloved" cafeteria for the last time. We went there with three cars, which I followed Wei Kian's one. He went to fetch the couple at TD14 - Leo and Gen and also the Jam Hsiao of TD14 - Shiann before we moved on to Sunway Pyramid. We also called our secondary school friends Brother Peng Fan to go there since he was finishing his final foundation exam that day.

Upon there, we splitted into two groups - since some of us (definitely not me) didn't want to ice-skating. Come on. Why can't you all just try something new and rarely do? Ice-skating for me is definitely an enjoyable and interesting sport. It was embarassing, but I took a long time to adapt to the rink because of my cautiousness. It was my second time of ice-skating anyway.

After more than two hours of almost frictionless experience, we combined our clan again with those who refused to skate and went for a movie at TGV there. Benson left due to his event anyway. We watched "Passengers", which was casted by the pretty and elegant Anne Hathaway. It was about a group of dead passengers due to airplane crash who were on the way realising that they were dead. Well even us the audience could not discover that they were dead until the ending. Umm, I kind of like the plot although it is definitely an old idea. In my opinion, by just watching the beauty of Anne Hathaway in the movie had already worth of its price. Lol. Here is the poster:

After the movie, we went to have a bowling. Before that we were shocked to hear from Warren (who promised to come with us but failed to) that his father was dead. Life is just so unpredictable isn't it? My greatest condolences to him.

Lets continue to the subject. It was so long since I last played bowling and my hands were itchy. Lol. With student price, bowling at Sunway is absolutely cheap! We had two games. Lets just see a commentary below:

First game
There were seven players: YY, me, WM, JM, WK, Leo and Gen. Well, some of us were newbies while the rest were not playing frequently as well, so you can easily predict the scores. Surprisingly, Gen dominated the game with her super slow but accurate bowl. Lol. I had forgotten who was the winner but I was the last with an awful score of around 40! XD

Second game
We had to switch lanes as our lanes were booked at that time. Same players, except sometimes Tok, KK and WK bowl for certain players. Somewhat hilarious, most of the players were kept cleaning the "drain" at the left lane. Lol. Wai Kit and Wai Ming (there are not brothers but Wai Kit do have a brother called Wai Ming LOL) surprisingly battled for the last place. Hahaha. While most of the players weirdly displayed a decline in their performance, Leo and I greatly boosted our results and I got number one by just one point in front of two runner-ups! XD Anyway my score - 83 wasn't something to be proud of.

And then, we went to the famous Yuan restaurant at Sunway (my second time this year) to have a big feast. Zheng Mou brought So Zai and Phone (with his girlfriend) to join us as well. We ate a lot. Haha. We took so much that we were not willing to finish the food! Haha. And we made so much of jokes cause of that such as "Tok, why you came so late? Come, eat, don't be shy!" (he was with us since the beginning) "KK, your face had betrayed you! You don't even feel full yet!" (he was already so full). We only managed to finish the big dinner at eleven and went home at twelve. KK, WM, Wei Kian and I stayed at YY's home that night while the rest went back to their home.

The night was still young? Haha. We went to CC after that with a very tired body. We played three games of DotA before we went back and had some men's talk. Finally we slept around half past four.

Quote of the day: Life is just full with uncertainties, so make every second of your life memorable!

Dramalicious Part 2

Buddies, click here for videos if you are not interested to scroll down and read!

Alright, I know you guys have been longing for that, lets start part 2!

Friday, 10 April 2009. After so much of phenomenon on the previous day, we refused to wake up at 8 as planned and continued to hug the bed tightly. Lol. Nevertheless, we still had to wake up. We brushed, cleansed, bathed and ate before we start our rehearsal again. Well, we had to skip class to perfectise our drama. Kaki ponteng~ Before the practise, I managed to take some photos of the king of "keh leh feh" - Wai Ming. He actually used 6 different apparels for the drama! Lets see it below:

The Passenger Look
The Air Steward Look
The Tree Look
The Beggar Look

Finally, this time we could act much more natural. However, the time span was still too long, which lasted around 30 minutes for a drama which was supposed to be 20 minutes. Hahaha. Poor time management. After two (or three, somewhat forgotten) times of practising, finally we departed from our home to UTAR.

We reached the venue at around 12. Well its really troublesome to have so much of props to bring. Here are some of the props I took the day before:

The Ring
The Walkie-Talkie and The Bell
A Jewellery Shop Named Tokong? XD
The Banner for the Longest Scene of the Drama

When we reached, the first group - Kheng Kuan's group was just starting to prepare the set ups. Our group was the next one. As we used different parts of the class as stage, so we could set up some of the props first just like what they did as well. By the way, we also arranged the seats and they looked just like cinema! Lets just see it below:

See?
Looked Just Perfect. XD

Not long after that, it was 1! Uhm... It was so fast? Lol. However, I was fulled with confidence, as well as Yoong Yang (it's so obvious). Just start it man! XD While KK's group was performing, we walked away from the class and did a final practice. Then finally. Ta-da! It's our turn! Time to show off!

We were doing fine. But it was quite obvious that we were lack of practices, especially during changing scenes. Could you believe that we actually used 3++ of minutes for a transition from scene 1 to scene 2? Lol. And the most awful part was I forgot to bring along the cheque! Which was one of the funniest scenes in the drama. Aw... Anyway, it was still nice to see, just that some scenes looked somewhat "cold" compared to the others. Haha.

After our group, it was Jian Fung's group performing. Uhm... I'm kind of surprised of what they were presenting. Little action, but yet high quality of languages. It was quite demoralising for me. =.= I thought we were going to be the best. However their storyline was lack of central theme. Haha. The next two group? They had something to laugh too. Although they were not in the upper tier.

After five dramas that were performed that day, the time had came to announce the results - who would be qualified for the semi-finals. Ms Sharmini told us that we were too good to choose one to go and also advised us not to be too carried away by the results. Unfortunately, our group had failed. It was the group before us - which was KK's group who went through. Congrats to you all! Honestly, I felt much happier if we lost to them because they are the best gang of me in UTAR. Hahaha. But you all won because you were in front of our group! We were forced to change the same dialogue that you all used! =P

The semi-finals had interclass competition on the next day and KK's group managed to qualify for the finals! That's the way man! Won for us! XD

This is KK's drama (highlights)

Ta-da! Here's our drama! This is Part 1.

Here's part 2.

... And part 3! The End!

Dramalicious Part 1

Thursday, 9 April 2009. It was the eve of the drama! And our group was yet to rehearse! Lol. Actually we had planned to stay overnight at YY's house for that. Before that, lets talk about the lesson that day~

We had a web page presentation at that morning and surprisingly our group members all arrived at the same time. It was once in a blue moon~ As all people in the class were wearing smartly, we were to obsessed in photographing until we lated 10 minutes for the class, which made our lecturer angry. Our presentation was quite a funny one since there was Wai Ming blowing the waters around hahaha.

The Best Group XD
Destined to group together since sem 1~
Always the spotlight in TD13? Lol
Benson in his unusual cocky hairstyle... Cool~
KK - one of my besties in UTAR

My face looks sooooooo big... =(
Family photo of TD 13
Guys from TD 13. Jun (the only girl) looks like a lecturer. XD

After the end of the Thursday study timetable - 11.30am, we went to YY's house directly. However, instead of practising drama straightaway, we were busy doing its portfolio at that time. Well the work was quite good until Wai Ming bad tape binding ruined our hardwork. The product was so awful. Eww =(

Here are some video clips:

A cocky interview

A noob interview

After spending the whole afternoon doing the ugly product, we went for our dinner. There's nothing special, until I reached the tuition center which I went for my secondary school. So much of memories, so much of regrets, so much of missings. This disrupted my mood so so much. Sighs~ I just missed my past times.

Finally we started the practice at approximately 9.30. Late! The progress was quite slow as we had never practised the drama before. It was filled with lots of laughs and gags, especially when Wai Ming was laughing while doing all those humourous gestures. Lol. There was too much to tell during the process so lets just view the videos I uploaded below rather than seeing those boring narratives.

NGs... I was behind them controlling the sounds.
Note that I only appeared for one long scene. XD

There might be more videos uploaded so stay tuned. =)

After a long session of training, we tried to get to sleep at about 1. However, while we were getting into the room, Warren saw a cockroach! And he shouted like a mad man. Lol. Then Hock Heng used a tissue paper box and smash it. Dead at first shot. And it was so disgusting. Eww~ All of us were feared of handling it in such a extent that we only started to clean the dead cockroach after 30 minutes. While doing that, Warren and Wai Ming were so fear of it until they screamed even when they were trying to handle the corpse using cardboards. What the... Then they passed that to me to throw into the bin. Lol.

When we thought that we could back to the room and sleep. Hock Heng saw another cockroach! Haha. We quickly packed up our bags and rushed to the upper floor to sleep. Lol. That's all and stay tuned for part 2!

Tomonori Jinnai 阵内智则

Who is that fellow? Well, he's the best comedian I have ever seen. Lol. His works are really simple but spectacular. I got exposed to his comedies due to my friend hohoho. You can find it in Youtube, but it's a Japanese comedy in Chinese subtitle so those who don't know Chinese sorry for not able to understand it.

You can watch one of it here: Tetris.
It's a tetris game so you won't mind that much about what he said. All the essence of the comedy is inside the game itself. Enjoy~
