Cool Sweep

Liverpool vs Aston Villa (Soccer - Barclays Premier League)

This encounter is supposed to be an interesting one everytime. Aston Villa, under the nurture of Martin O'Neill, has became one of the strongest team in the premier league. This is much interesting as most of their elite troops are composed of English players - which most of other teams collect talents from all corners of the world. Whereas Liverpool, since the arrival of Rafael Benitez, has regained its glory in history, making Rafa one of the most impossible to be fired. With 0-0 result in the first leg, this game was filled with a lot of question marks.

But in just 7 minutes, the tide had gone to Liverpool. A powerful shot from Kuyt started the ultimate humiliation of the Aston Villa. With Riera's goal on 37th minute and Gerrard's pure set piece hat-trick, Anfield stadium was filled with decibels and decibels of "You Will Never Walk Alone". Honestly, this surprised me. 13 goals in 3 matches? How the hell a defensive based team like Liverpool be able to do that? That's totally interesting. It burns the spirit of every LFC fans on the earth - I am one of them. With Manchester United ultimately unpredictable two consecutive losses, Premier League has resurrected its uncertainty and excitement this season. Lets see what will happen in the end of May. To the respected Captain (Steven Gerrard): Fire fire fire!
